Gellert Bath opened in 1918 offering medicinal water treatments using the same deep underground springs the Knights of St John used in the 12th century, and later on the Turks to feel the invigorating powers of the mineral rich waters.

Come and visit our favorite bath in Budapest besides Szechenyi Baths: Gellert Spa Bath is the true gem of the thermal baths where you can easily spend a day, explore the numerous pools, get luxury treatments without having to feel crowded by other tourists. Spa and elegance await you in the Art Nouveau building of the almost hundred year old Gellert Bath.

Gellert Spa is famous for its lovely warm spring water pools, its architecture, its landscape, and also for its spa treatments, and pampering massage therapies at reasonable prices.

  2. Hi we want to visit the baths on 9th or 10th or 11th August – what’s the best way of guaranteeing entrance ? We are two adults two teenagers. We arrive at 7pm on Thursday 8th August and leave Sunday 11th august
    Thanks
    Cathie

    • Hello Cathie,

while we normally would recommend online bookings to secure your appointments or entries, during the Sziget music festival week – even if you do not attend the festival just the baths – (Aug 7-13) the city attracts half a million extra tourists, so the decision was taken that fast track tickets and fast track treatments will not be bookable during this period, with the exception of Saturday night party tickets, which will be bookable for Aug 10 as usual in Szechenyi Baths.
Guests of day time visit will be checked in on a first-come-first-served basis. Unfortunately, we expect long queues due to the increased demand, even long lines in the sun. Please find more details, advice and other thermal bath alternatives on the following link: BathsBudapest.com/Aug

Arriving before 8 am (between 6 am and 8 am) would be very advisable if you do not mind getting up earlier to secure a better chance of getting in the baths with shorter queues.
Please find other things to do in Budapest in August here:

Enjoy your August trip in Budapest!

  3. I just paid for 4 tickets for Monday with cabin and have no receipt or ticket in in-tray

    • Hello Pam,
thank you for letting us know. The confirmation email of your thermal bath products (which is basically the same as your ticket) was already automatically sent to you, to the email address you have provided in the booking form: please make sure to check the spam folder in case it ended up there. At any rate, we have manually resent it again. Please let us know if there should be any further inconvenience, or if you wish to get the ticket sent to a different email address too.

  5. Hello,

Or, can you send me an email address so I can send the payment confirmation to you.

    Thank you
