Gellert Bath Palace Budapest

Gellert Bath opened in 1918 offering medicinal water treatments using the same deep underground springs the Knights of St John used in the 12th century, and later on the Turks to feel the invigorating powers of the mineral rich waters.

Come and visit our favorite bath in Budapest besides Szechenyi Baths: Gellert Spa Bath is the true gem of the thermal baths where you can easily spend a day, explore the numerous pools, get luxury treatments without having to feel crowded by other tourists. Spa and elegance await you in the Art Nouveau building of the almost hundred year old Gellert Bath.

Gellert Spa is famous for its lovely warm spring water pools, its architecture, its landscape, and also for its spa treatments, and pampering massage therapies at reasonable prices.

  1. Hi! What are your opening hours tomorrow (2. jan)?

  2. Dear Hemi,

    Thank you for your question.

Please follow this link for the opening hours: http://gellertspa.com/gellert-spa-thermal-bath-opening-hours

Have a great time in Budapest!

  3. Hi. the website “booking.com” offers to purchase fast track tickets from January 7th, however your website states January 8th. Will there be fast track entry if I purchase via booking.com for January 7 visit?

    • Dear Monika,
Tickets sold on another third party website can be different than on our website, please enquire at the Customer Services. Our Fast Track tickets are available to buy from the 8th Jan, as online sales have stopped until that date. Tickets are also available to buy on the spot.
Should you have further questions, please contact us.

  4. Why can’t I choose 10 August to book for the spa? Is it closed?

    • Dear Vicki,
Thank you for your inquiry about services between Aug 7 and 16, 2019 in the baths. While we normally would recommend online bookings to secure your appointments or entries, during and a few days after the Sziget music festival week (Aug 7-13) the city attracts half a million extra tourists, which results in full houses during the week of the festival: you may still try to book a – standard –  ticket on the spot.
Should you have further questions, please contact us.

  5. Hello. What is the age limit for booking massage?

    • Dear Marita,

There is no upper limit, but we would recommend reading this topic: http://gellertspa.com/health-safety-tips
Should you have further questions, please contact us.
      Have a lovely day.

      • Thank you! I am going to visit your spa with my sisters. My youngest sister is 17, become 18 this year. Is it possible for her to have a massage?

        • Hello Marita,
Thank you for double checking this option: if your sister is 18 on the day and at the time of the visit, yes, she can. If not, I’m afraid she would not be able to get a massage in Gellert Spa. We would advise to consult with the hotel reception of your accommodation as there are many other massage parlours in Budapest where there might be more flexibility with the minimal age.

  6. Really great pool. I absualty come to there in this summer. Thanks
