You can book your Gellert Bath massage treatment in advance to schedule it as it is most convenient for you. The Aroma / Refreshing massage is typically 20 minutes. Most treatments are booked up in advance. Please note that massage is only for bath guests with a valid bath ticket.

The Harmony Aroma Relax Massage is one of the most popular treatments in Gellert Spa. This is a calm, slow and relaxing full-body massage (the 60 min versions includes face, head and feet massage) using tender movements and warm aromatic oils that spoil both your body and soul.
The Harmony Aroma treatment also includes the use of moisturising body lotion and a face toner with a high content of active ingredients.
Guests can choose from the following oils for the massage: orange, rosemary and elderflower.

You can book your Gellert Bath aroma massage treatment online to pick a massage hour that best suits your needs. Please allow 1-2 days in advance for the most convenient timing.
Please note that besides online booking, the Gellert Massage treatments can be bought at the cashier in Gellert Spa, but there is no guarantee that there are available massages on the day of your bathing. Massages are regularly pre-booked 1 day in advance.
The vast majority of luxury massage therapies are reserved in advance. If you do not intend to book a massage online, you can ask at the cashier if there is any available massage for a given day. Please note that massage is only for bath guests with a valid bath ticket.
Another option is to buy your massage treatment in advance and finalise your treatment hours 1-2 weeks before your visit. In this case, you can order your massage and bath ticket as a Gellert Gift Voucher (valid for 1 year from purchase).
Gellert Spa offers high-quality massage services to all bath guests who wish to make their bath visit fuller and more intensive. Massage treatments are of various sorts and lengths, from cheap 20 min massage therapies to more luxurious VIP massages.
Massage for pregnant women
Unfortunately, no thermal bath in Budapest offers pregnancy massage in the baths to avoid any potential medical complications. Even if you are in absolutely perfect health condition with your baby, the bath management cannot take the risk of unexpected complications / urgent resolutions to keep you and your baby safe from harm. We are sorry that we cannot spoil you when you would deserve the most.
In a similar vein, there are several pools in the baths which contain hot water (between 33 and 40 degrees Celsius, the upper end of which, is not recommended for pregnant mothers.
In short, massage treatment is not available for pregnant moms in Gellert Spa.
Hot thermal water is not suitable for pregnant moms.
During pregnancy please keep consulting with your doctor whenever you intend to visit public baths, shared pools. Pregnant women are kindly asked to consult with their doctor /OBGYN if they can bathe in the thermal waters in Budapest too, and what – if any – precautions they need to make before entering the pools.
All visits to the baths and its facilities are at the responsibility of visitors, including pregnant mothers. We apologise for any potential inconvenience. You will find that some private spas do offer pregnancy treatments in Budapest, even if not the major thermal baths.

Hi there, I am looking to purchase a couples massage – at what point during our visit would you recommend us to have the massage – we aim to arrive for 11am so would it be good to use the baths first and then take the massage – if so, what time would you suggest we book it for?
Hello Hayley, yes, we usually recommend soaking a bit in the thermal pools so that your muscles can be relaxed by the time of the massage. It simply increases the effectiveness of the treatment. With online bookings the earliest check in is 9 am.
We can only book in massages after payment has taken place. Massage availabilities change from minute to minute so we cannot say any definitive in advance. Normally, in the booking form guests indicate a preferred hour for the massage and we try to schedule them closest to this hour. If no suitable time can be found we refund the massage price (but they have an option to keep the fast track ticket with the private cabin, – as a partial refund).
Once I have the 30 minute massage included in the price, how long can i stay in the spa (pools/sauna etc) for?
Hello Natalie, from 9 am to 8 pm – you can stay all day long in the bath, before and after the massage treatment too. heck in is from 9am to 6 pm for online reservations, but Gellert Spa is open until 8pm. Massages are best to be booked days / weeks in advance.
Hello Natalie, whenever a massage treatment or package is bought (including a fast track bath entry and a private cabin), you can stay before and after the massage in Gellert Spa. With online reservations the only constraint being that the Help Desk is open between 9 am and 6 pm so online reservations can only be checked in after 9 am and until 6 pm. But you can stay on until 8 pm or when the bath is closing.
Please keep your silicon waterproof wrist band, which you get when you check in, as it is your entry for all day (as it is a single pass it needs to be kept before and after the massage too to enable you to the full day bath visit).

Hello Neli, the “Ticket & Cabin GB” is short for Gellert Spa Bath ticket (entry) with a private cabin. So it includes two items: a regular bath entry (full day) and a private cabin for getting changed and storing belongings while you relax in the baths.
What sort of size are the cabins please? Would we have space to leave our luggage if we’re heading straight to the airport afterwards?
