Check in at Gellert Spa

The QR code check-in point awaits guests who have pre-booked bath tickets: at the Online Check In Desk you will redeem your waterproof wrist band in exchange of the QR code tickets. It means a expedited entry service as the QR codes are instantly read and there is no need to join the queues at the Cashier, just head on to the Online Check In Reception Desk. In a similar vein, if you book your ticket or massage online, you don’t have to join the lines at the cashier, just approach the QR code / Fast Track Online Check In team with your digital or printed QR Code (it may help to bring along your confirmation email too to avoid any confusion if you are a first time visitor).

After check-in, your thermal bath e-ticket will be exchanged with a waterproof wristband, which will be your actual chip enabled key to your cabin as well (the wrist watch style silicon band includes a little chip).

All of the massage packages in Gellert Baths include the bath entry with fast track, skip the line access to all the pools, saunas, steam rooms, and of course your very own private area, the bath cabin used for storage and getting changed. – massages are currently not available on our website

Book your massage now and secure your preferred massage hours on the following page: Massages in Gellert Spa

How to find the check in point for expedited QR code entries and online reservations?

The check in point (green dot on the map) can be approached from the Main Entrance (shown with a red dot in the map). As Gellert Bath has its own entrance, independent from the entrance of Hotel Gellert, the best way to find us easily is to stand with your back to the river Danube, and enter the Gellert building on the right hand side, by the Gellert Hill.

Opening hours:

9 am – 7 pm every day.

Your ticket is valid from 9 am to 7 pm for the requested date (last entry 5.50pm)

  3. Hello!

Me and my friend are planning a visit to Gellert Spa, but we were wondering if cabins are big and safe enough to leave our luggage? How essential is it to book and pay in advance? We’d like to pay while arriving the spa.

    Kind regards
    Rita

    • Hello Rita,
The cabin is like a tiny room, or cubicle, which can store a standard check in suitcase easily.
The cabin size is approx. that of a dressing room in a clothes shop, so you can leave there the 20 kg suitcase as well ( if it is a regular size) along with your jackets etc.

The door of the cabin has a unique chip code lock, which opens and closes with a special waterproof bracelet: in fact, with the chip incorporated in the wristband bath entry provided at the bath. Please make sure that your door is locked with the silicon wristband before leaving the cabin. As you are wearing the band all the times, it is quite secure if you make sure that the door is not left open.

The size of the locker is 120x30x65 cm (1200 x 300 x 650 mm), we assume it is too small for your bags.
The lockers are also opened and closed by your wristband.

As there are often big queues at the cashiers, we suggest the online bookings, so you can skip the main queue and check in at our HelpDesk.

  4. Hello,

We had visited Gellert baths last week during our vacation. We rented a cabin as well. But somehow my husband lost his silver chain with a locket (yellow stone) during the visit. Is there any way to connect to your lost and found section to see if anything has been found?

    Best,
    Priya

    • Dear Priya,
Unfortunately we only manage online reservations as a third party. For lost property issues, please contact the following email address, the official direct email contact of the baths:
      gellert@spabudapest.hu
Alternatively, you can take a visit to the bath to inquire in person, which is probably the fastest and most efficient. If you have already tried to restore your lost item with the help of the staff of Gellert Spa, unfortunately, there is no more that could be done.

We are terribly sorry that we cannot be of more help.

  5. Hello,

My partner and I are coming to Budapest November. I’d like to take her to the Gellert Spa. I would book the private bath but I read that you don’t have access to the main baths with that ticket and we’d prefer the main baths.

Could you advise during what times during a Monday would be the quietest? We love travelling but prefer to avoid the crowds.

    All the best,

    Sharan

    • Dear Sharan,
The package of the Private Bath gives access to the secluded area of the private bath only, meaning you can go to the private bath room, but not the big public area with a dozen pools, steam rooms and saunas. We suggest the arrival just after 9am, as most of the guests are arriving after 12.
Enjoy your visit at Gellert Spa!

  6. Hello,
we will visit the Gellert Spa.

Not knowing well in advance the day of the visit, if we book the visit when already
in Budapest, will we need a printed document or it will be enough an electronic ticket?

Is it usually available the visit booking for the day after?

    Thanks for the attention, Alessandro.
