Check in at Gellert Spa
The QR code check-in point awaits guests who have pre-booked bath tickets: at the Online Check In Desk you will redeem your waterproof wrist band in exchange of the QR code tickets. It means a expedited entry service as the QR codes are instantly read and there is no need to join the queues at the Cashier, just head on to the Online Check In Reception Desk. In a similar vein, if you book your ticket or massage online, you don’t have to join the lines at the cashier, just approach the QR code / Fast Track Online Check In team with your digital or printed QR Code (it may help to bring along your confirmation email too to avoid any confusion if you are a first time visitor).
After check-in, your thermal bath e-ticket will be exchanged with a waterproof wristband, which will be your actual chip enabled key to your cabin as well (the wrist watch style silicon band includes a little chip).
All of the massage packages in Gellert Baths include the bath entry with fast track, skip the line access to all the pools, saunas, steam rooms, and of course your very own private area, the bath cabin used for storage and getting changed. – massages are currently not available on our website

How to find the check in point for expedited QR code entries and online reservations?
The check in point (green dot on the map) can be approached from the Main Entrance (shown with a red dot in the map). As Gellert Bath has its own entrance, independent from the entrance of Hotel Gellert, the best way to find us easily is to stand with your back to the river Danube, and enter the Gellert building on the right hand side, by the Gellert Hill.
Opening hours:
9 am – 7 pm every day.
Your ticket is valid from 9 am to 7 pm for the requested date (last entry 5.50pm)

Could you please reply privately? I have a group of 8-10 women – all “seniors” from the U.S. who will arrive in Budapest on Tuesday, May 29, in the mid afternoon and staying at a nearby hotel. My thought would be to check in the hotel, have a light dinner/snack and go on to your beautiful Spa for, perhaps, a massage and the thermal baths. Do you offer group discounts or “packages,” such as a 30-60 minute massage (aroma, foot, etc) and the thermal bath, with, perhaps 2-3 cabins for changing? In the case of a travel delay, would we able to re-schedule for the following morning? I look forward to hearing from you.
Dear Nancy,
thank you, we will soon contact you via email.
Dear Nancy,

Dear Rita,
as you have received your tickets in the meantime, all I have to say is enjoy your visit at Gellert Spa!
Hello,
Is a bathing suit required for massage service?
I’m assuming that the bathing suit was just for purposes of the photograph but please confirm that one is or is not needed.
Thank you
Dear Laurie,
yes, you need to wear swimsuits during the massage. Thank you for your understanding.
Good Morning
It says you can bring food and drink into the Baths, is there anything food/drink related that you can’t bring in?
What food and drink can you purchase at the spa?
Very much looking forward to our visit.
Hello Rachel,
there is a cafeteria in Gellert spa which sells hot and cold meals and foods, but also soft drinks and beers / wines (simple alcoholic beverages in cans and plastic glasses).
Restaurant with hot meals is available in the hotel (Hotel Gellert Danubius) booking directly through the hotel (not via the spa).
Please note that real glass products are not allowed to be taken into or sold on the premises.
Have a great time in Gellert spa Budapest.
Hello,
i wish to purchase a thermal bath ticket online and attend at 6am .. Do i still have to check off:
Online Ticket check in hours accepted * between 9am – 6pm?
i want to only take a batch between 6am-8am?
Am i still able to purchase the ticket online with my intentions to attend the thermal bath at the above mentioned hours?
Dear Margaret,
I’m afraid not.
The online ticket is not valid before 9am, so you won’t be able to check-in before 8am.
In this case please buy your ticket at the cashier. Thank you for your understanding.
Hello! I’m very much looking forward to trying the Gellert baths, but unfortunately my partner does not swim. Is it possible for him to sit beside the pools whilst I swim? Do I purchase the same ticket as myself for his entry?
Thank you!
Hello Nicky,
no worries, thermal pools are not for swimming but for relaxation. They are not deep at all, so he can enjoy the pools even if he does not swim. The only pool which is deep is the outdoor (cold) swimming pool. There is no price reduction is someone is not wishing to enter the pools.
