Gellert Spa and thermal bath offers various spa and wellness services, welcoming visitors not only with the charming architecture but also of the relaxing treatments and natural geothermal pool waters. In winter season bath visitors can enjoty half a dozen of thermal pools, including the beautiful swimming pool, and a smaller outdoor thermal bath in the lovely garden (the large outdoor splash pool is not available in the colder season). In spring, in summer and in autumn, visitors can use the several indoor pools, the larger outdoor splash pool (former wave pool) and the smaller open air thermal pool overlooking the garden).

Aroma massages are typically more gentle, stroking, while refreshing massage treatments are more vigorous and facilitate blood circulation with stronger movements.

Please note that besides online booking, the Gellert Massage treatments can be bought at the cashier in Gellert Spa, but there is no guarantee that there are available massages on the day of your bathing.

Thermal Bath & Steam Services
Natural Spring Water Baths in all pools in the Art Nouveau bath palace of Budapest, Gellert Spa.
Many of the pools have underwater jets for aqua massage therapy:
- Indoor Mixed Thermal Bath (5 Pools): Temperature 36°C – 40°C, included in the bath ticket – formerly men/women only, but now co-educated since Jan 1, 2013
- Indoor Swimming Pool with Art Nouveau Hall, included in the bath ticket: Temperature 36°C
- Outdoor Pool (1): Wave Pool with artificial waves. Temperature 26°C (size: 500 m2, depths: from 0.4 m to 2.75m) – from May to October
- Outdoor Pool (2): Thermal Sitting Pool. Temperature 36°C (size: 94 m2, depth: 1m)
- Plunge Pools (2) also known as Immersion Pools used after Steam / Sauna services. Temperature 19°C
- Private Bath in Gellert Spa: 3-hour use of the private bath in Gellert Spa with a bottle of Champagne and a fruit bowl for 2. Available for 2-4 people for 3 hours. Not included in the bath ticket, but no bath ticket is needed to enjoy the 3-hour private bathing.
- Medical Mud Treatment: For medical mud treatment, the referral of the rheumatism specialist of Gellert Spa is required. The price of the medical examination is HUF 10,000.

There is a tour for visitors only (not including bathing) in Gellert Spa every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 11 am and 3 pm. The visitor ticket is HUF 2,000 per person. No advance booking is required. Please note that this short tour is not guided.

I have a question about parking when wisiting Gellert Spa. Where can we park our car for a day? We are a family of four and we have two children at age of 3 and 5. I guees that the are allowed at the swinning pool as well?

there is a discounted parking rate for the guests of Gellert Spa at a reduced price of HUF 280/hour.
The address is: 10 Kemenes street District XI.
Please, take your parking ticket to the cashier in Gellert Spa to get it stamped (without the stamp the full price will be charged, with the stamp only the reduced rate).

the guided tours are available on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 11 am and 3 pm every week.
The tour is about 20 min long and there is no minimum number of participates.

We – a family of 4 – wants to visit Gellert – enjoying spa and massage. We want to order the Royal Thermal ekstra massage for all of us. An have a private cabin and fast entrance. How do I do that the best way? By buying 2 times 2 thermal massage for 2 persons og 1 time thermal massage for 2 persona an 2 times thermal massage for one person?
And will you recommend massage before or after we have been udsing the bath?

please note that children under 18 cannot receive any massage, as it is against the policy of the Spa. If all of the family members are older, you can book the massages in 2 x double deals (2*), as the double massages are slightly cheaper as if you book 4 x single massages. Of course, if all of the family members wish to receive different type of massages, double deals aren’t working, so in that case you need to book single massages. thank you for your inquiry.
I would like to bring your attention to the fact that for children under 14 years of age the pools are not recommended. Should the parents decide to visit Gellert Spa despite this, families may arrive with children at their own responsibility.
Unfortunately there is no children Ticket, so you need to buy full price tickets for the children.
Massage is only for over 18. Should both of the grown-ups wish to have a massage, please make sure, that one of you will stay with the children, so indicate the preferred massage hours in the booking form accordingly.
