Kindly note that Gellert Spa reconstructions will begin at some point in Fall 2023. The Spa bath will operate as usual until then.

The price of the Ticket is a package and contains additional services such as priority admin, flexible cancellation policy, and tasting in the Gastro Cellar next to Gozsdu Courtyard. Ticket inclusions and Terms may differ from other online vendors. Gastro Cellar and Tasting included: Open all week, 2-11pm. Your ticket includes a 2 Tier Hungarian Wine Speciality Tasting (1*50ml white wine,1*50ml rose wine). Contact details provided in the confirmation number, along with the Troubleshooting phone number to find out about the actual opening hours on a given date to avoid a potential closure.
Massage treatments are currently not available on our website
Massage Treatments are best to be booked in advance, as the available massages in Gellert Spa are sold out in advance (please note that massage is for bath guests only, who have a valid bath ticket). Same day massage therapies are very hard to get. Therefore to have a peace of mind, pick your ideal day and preferred massage hours and we will book you in the massage schedule. Please note that massage treatments need to be booked at least 24 hours in advance, but bath tickets can be booked for the same day or next day too.
Online tickets are confirmed via email: please make sure you provide your email address correctly. The confirmation email is your Gellert Bath e-ticket, which will be followed by a second email with the QR code.
If you have a smartphone with wifi access, you can buy your ticket instantly.
Budapest other famous thermal bath is Szechenyi Bath. You can also reserve massage treatments and book tickets online in Szechenyi Spa Baths.
Visitor Ticket & Guided Tour in Gellert Spa
Visitor tickets are, unfortunately, currently not available. We apologise for the inconvenience.
Pre-Covid times – former – visitor tickets were for the price of HUF 3,000 per person, including a short, approx. 10-15 minutes tour (without guiding) in the Bath. Tours start every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 11am and 3pm. You don’t need to book you visitor ticket in advance, and there is no minimum group size for the tour.
Guided tours are not available at the moment. Formerly they could be booked in advance for larger groups.

Hello I am planning to visit Budapest for the first time. I am very interested in going to Gellert Spa. Can we use shorts to go in the spa or do we need bathing suits; men and women? If we stay in the hotel, is there a discount for using the spa?

shorts are fine to wear in the Gellert Spa.
Please note that Gellert Spa and Hotel Gellert are two different companies, therefore unfortunately we cannot give you any information about the hotel’s prices or discounts that they offer to their guests.

As for shorts, if they are swimming shorts, yes, they can be used in the pool (but not general shorts please). The dress code of Gellert Spa is basically – any decent swimwear is acceptable regardless of the design.

Is it possible to buy tickets with fast track entry that don’t have a specific date? If you buy a gift voucher do you have to redeem that and choose a specific date or can you just take them to the baths any day and get entry? I’d appreciate any info, thanks.
Hello Janine, yes, you can buy an open date bath ticket (basically it is the gift voucher option), which is valid until next year January. But if there are busy days we can only let in customers who let us know about 2-3 days before their planned date, so that you can be put on the fast track entry list. Hope this makes sense.
In short, you do not have to let us know in advance, but it helps to get in should there be a full house in the bath.
