Opening Hours

Check in at Gellert Spa
The QR code reader self-check-in point awaits guests who have pre-booked bath tickets. It means a expedited entry service, so if you book your ticket or massage online, you don’t have to join the lines at the cashier, just approach the QR code reader with your printed email confirmation (or you might use it with a smartphone).
After check-in your thermal bath e-ticket will be exchanged with a waterproof wristband, which will be your actual chip enabled key to your cabin as well (the wrist watch style silicon band includes a little chip).
All of the massage packages in Gellert Baths include the bath entry with fast track, skip the line access to all the pools, saunas, steam rooms, and of course your very own private area, the bath cabin used for storage and getting changed. – massages are currently not available on our website
Book your massage now and secure your preferred massage hours on the following page: Massages in Gellert Spa

How to find the check in point for expedited QR code entries and online reservations?
The check in point (green dot on the map) can be approached from the Main Entrance (shown with a red dot in the map). As Gellert Bath has its own entrance, independent from the entrance of Hotel Gellert, the best way to find us easily is to stand with your back to the river Danube, and enter the Gellert building on the right hand side, by the Gellert Hill.
Opening hours:
9 am – 7 pm every day.
Your ticket is valid from 9 am to 7 pm for the requested date (last entry 5.50pm)

Is the spa open at 6am or 9am?
Hi Jessica,
Gellert Spa is open from 6 am, however, the Check-in Desk for the Fast Track Tickets is only open from 9 am – 6 pm.
If you wish to enter the Spa before 9 am, you will need to purchase your entry ticket upon arrival.
Please see more information about the opening hours on the following link: opening hours
Thank you.
Hello i would like to book a spa day for 2 adults and one child on the new years eve 31th of december 2020. Hiw much it costs and how should i book it? Thank you
Hello Alexandra,
please check our website later this year, as the booking forms are closed at the moment.
Thank you for your patience.
Hello! In August 2020 will the spa be open? Or is it closed due to coronavirus?
Hello Ashley,
Thank you for contacting us. Gellert Spa may not reopen for a few more weeks (perhaps months) due to extensive restorative works.
There are several thermal baths in Budapest to visit though, which are already open, like Szechenyi Baths, Lukacs Baths or Rudas Baths, as well as Palatinus on Margaret Island (recommended in fair weather months).
Hello,
I’ve just made a silly mistake when reserving 2 tickets for the spa…
Today we are march 7th and I took a reservation for march 3rd instead of march 10th.
Is it a problem if next tuesday (the 10th) we show up with a ticket for the 3rd ? Or can our ticket be rebooked for the 10th instead of the 3rd ?
Or do we have to buy completely new tickets ?
Thanks in advance.
Yours sincerely,
Mario Sablon
Dear Mario,
Thank you for letting us know. No problem, we will soon send you an updated confirmation email which you can use on the 10th March.
Have a lovely day.
Hey, I was just wondering if you guys would still be open in April ?
I know one other place is shut and not offering refunds due to corona virus, but before buying tickets just wanted to see if the place is going to still be open for the foreseeable future?
Dear Nilo,
Thank you for your comment.
At the moment there is no such restriction in the Spa or anywhere in Hungary. Since the coronavirus is an influenza virus with super high media attention, but in effect, with the general symptoms of a flu and very low mortality rates, the Covid 19 virus does not warrant closing down public spaces, public transport or institutions. As long as trains, planes, buses etc. connect communities, it is logical to assume that community places stay open all over the continent, including restaurants, theatres, baths and other tourist attractions.

Hello,
We will be a party of 8 people coming to Budapest for a bachelorette party at the beginning of September.
We wanted to attend the spa on Sunday 6th September. Will you be open by then? Would it be possible to book some massages / beauty appointments / private areas? In addition, we are also interested in the beer bath experience – is that something that you offer?
Thank you in advance,
Valentina
Hello Valentina,
we will contact you via email shortly.
Are there any days where it’s “men only”?
Dear Andy,
Gellert Spa has turned into a mixed spa bath complex in 2013. Please note, that Gellert Spa keeps closed in this season.
If you are looking for a gender-separated bathhouse we recommend you visit Rudas Baths, on Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays there are men-only days. (Tuesdays are ladies only and the weekends are coed).

I hope I could help.
Can I kindly book a room and Saturday spa day in advance for January?
Dear Soraia,
Currently we advise to make a reservation when your trip is confirmed to Budapest, Hungary.
If you are a resident in Hungary already, you can make a booking on the spot now or later in January.
