Check in at Gellert Spa

The QR code check-in point awaits guests who have pre-booked bath tickets: at the Online Check In Desk you will redeem your waterproof wrist band in exchange of the QR code tickets. It means a expedited entry service as the QR codes are instantly read and there is no need to join the queues at the Cashier, just head on to the Online Check In Reception Desk. In a similar vein, if you book your ticket or massage online, you don’t have to join the lines at the cashier, just approach the QR code / Fast Track Online Check In team with your digital or printed QR Code (it may help to bring along your confirmation email too to avoid any confusion if you are a first time visitor).

After check-in, your thermal bath e-ticket will be exchanged with a waterproof wristband, which will be your actual chip enabled key to your cabin as well (the wrist watch style silicon band includes a little chip).

All of the massage packages in Gellert Baths include the bath entry with fast track, skip the line access to all the pools, saunas, steam rooms, and of course your very own private area, the bath cabin used for storage and getting changed. – massages are currently not available on our website

How to find the check in point for expedited QR code entries and online reservations?

The check in point (green dot on the map) can be approached from the Main Entrance (shown with a red dot in the map). As Gellert Bath has its own entrance, independent from the entrance of Hotel Gellert, the best way to find us easily is to stand with your back to the river Danube, and enter the Gellert building on the right hand side, by the Gellert Hill.

Opening hours:

9 am – 7 pm every day.

Your ticket is valid from 9 am to 7 pm for the requested date (last entry 5.50pm)

  1. Hello,

What’s your cancellation policy for massage?

    • Hello Nina,

      thank you for your email.
Generally, orders cannot be cancelled. Nevertheless, we strive to find a mutually satisfactory solution should there be any sudden changes in your travel plans.

Refund requests are always decided by the management.

That said, we are flexible and here to help, we only ask guests to contact us via email as soon as they can.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

    Hello,

I’ve booked for the 17th of August, and I didn’t receive any confirmation. Could you confirm my booking please?

    • Dear Rafaela,
      thank you for your booking.

I would like to confirm that we have received your booking and the auto confirmation has been sent to your given email address.
Now I have re-sent the confirmation from our backup email address to make sure you will receive it. Please check your spam folder too.

Could you please let us know if you have received it this time?

  3. Hello
I am trying to book romantic package for Saturday and pay in huf but the website is not allowing

  4. Does your Spa offer a Platza treatment? If not, do you know what Spa might?
    Thank you

    • Hello Donald,

I am afraid, Gellert spa does not offer this treatment.

      Thank you for your understanding.

I am sorry to inform you of the following criticisms at your service.

I find it unfair to charge children the same price as adults. For a family, entry to the spa becomes very expensive.

The staff is rather rude and unavailable, especially the girls at the lockers. Given the price you pay we expect more kindness towards customers.

On July 23rd at 7 pm, access to the external pool was forbidden. Why ? (it wasn’t raining)

    cordially

    Giorgio Lorenzoni

    • Dear Giorgio,
thank you for taking your time to share your experiences with us.
We are very sorry to hear that your visit in Gellert Spa did not live up to your expectations.
We are very thankful for your invaluable feedback, which we forwarded to the management of the Baths. We will do out best to improve our services.

    • Hello Giorgio, the prices of entries are the same, and we understand that you expect to have child tickets at a discount price. However the fact that there are no children tickets in Gellert Spa is merely a medically supported decision:
please note that the hot spring thermal waters are not recommended for kids under the age of 14.
It is not a commercial but a health issue.
While normal beaches, lidos, swimming pools contain cold or lukewarm water and chlorine, the thermal baths in Budapest are unique, as they are filled with naturally hot spring waters rather than cold waters, over 33 degrees, unlike other pools.
