Check in at Gellert Spa
The QR code reader self-check-in point awaits guests who have pre-booked bath tickets. It means a expedited entry service, so if you book your ticket or massage online, you don’t have to join the lines at the cashier, just approach the QR code reader with your printed email confirmation (or you might use it with a smartphone).
After check-in your thermal bath e-ticket will be exchanged with a waterproof wristband, which will be your actual chip enabled key to your cabin as well (the wrist watch style silicon band includes a little chip).
All of the massage packages in Gellert Baths include the bath entry with fast track, skip the line access to all the pools, saunas, steam rooms, and of course your very own private area, the bath cabin used for storage and getting changed. – massages are currently not available on our website

How to find the check in point for expedited QR code entries and online reservations?
The check in point (green dot on the map) can be approached from the Main Entrance (shown with a red dot in the map). As Gellert Bath has its own entrance, independent from the entrance of Hotel Gellert, the best way to find us easily is to stand with your back to the river Danube, and enter the Gellert building on the right hand side, by the Gellert Hill.
Opening hours:
9 am – 7 pm every day.
Your ticket is valid from 9 am to 7 pm for the requested date (last entry 5.50pm)

Hiya, we are coming to Budapest on 28th, 29th, 30th December and it looks like it’s not possible to book these days. Can you get tickets on the day? Thanks!x
Hi Livvy,
Thank you for your inquiry about services between Dec 24, 2019, and Jan 7, 2020, in the baths.
Due to the high number of visitors during the festive winter days, the thermal baths’ managerial decision was made that no fast track entries or cabins (changing cubicles) are sold during these days.
On 26th December 2019, on the date of your visit, guests will be checked in on a first-come-first-served basis. As long queues are expected there may be some lines waiting in the cold. Please find more details, advice and other thermal bath alternatives on the following link: BathsBudapest.com/Dec
Enjoy the thermal baths in winter Budapest and explore some more if it is not your first visit in the city.
Hi Gerret Spa,
Im trying to book 2 tickets for Tuesday, 17th but the only payment option is PayPal. Is there a way to pay with credit card?
Hi Marisa,
Thank you for your comment.
We would like to inform you that payment is possible with a credit card as well. Upon booking you will need to click the following tick box: “I’ll pay on PayPal / Card.” You do have a chance to use your card.

Have a wonderful spa time in Budapest!
Hi, we are planning to visit on the 28th of December. Are you fully booked then?
Thanks in Advance!
Hi Joyce,
Thank you for your question.
Thank you for your inquiry about services between Dec 24, 2019, and Jan 07, 2020 in the baths. While we normally would recommend online bookings to secure your appointments or entries, during the Winter Festive Season (Christmas and New Year – Dec 24 – Jan 7) the city attracts half a million extra tourists, which makes online fast track tickets to Gellert Spa simply non-fast track, and ticket holders are often held back in the – otherwise peaceful and expectant – crowds gathering around the entrances. Hence the managerial decision was made that no fast track entries or cabins (changing cubicles) are sold during the festive days. Guests of day time visit will be checked in on a first-come-first-served basis. Unfortunately, we expect long queues due to the increased demand, even long lines in the cold. Please find more details, advice and other thermal bath alternatives on the following link: BathsBudapest.com/Dec
Have a wonderful spa time in Budapest!
Dear Gellert Spa Team,
I am trying to book baths for 4th of January but I can’t. I was wondering if it overbooked or closed due to New Year period?
Regards
Dear Tsiako,
Thank you for your inquiry about services between Dec 24, 2019, and Jan 7, 2020 in the baths.
Due to the high number of visitors during the festive winter days, the thermal baths’ managerial decision was made that no fast track entries or cabins (changing cubicles) are sold during these days.
Please note that on these days tickets will be sold on first-come-first-served basis so we kindly suggest that you go to the spa early to secure your entry.
We wish you a wonderful spa time in Budapest!

Have a merry Christmas time in Budapest!
Dear Gellert Spa
I have booked a day at your spa for the 21/01-2020 with my girlfriend. This is only for the entrance. I have since looked at spa treatments and I would like to book a massage for 2 people at the same time in the same room. Is this possible? Also is this possible to book without booking a package with entrance fee site I already have this?
Best Regards Michael
Hello Michael,
massages for ticket holders will be available after Jan 10, please send us an email to receive the special booking link for it.
