Taking photos of the building from the outside is no problem at all. However, taking photos inside the baths is subject to a photo permit provided by the Marketing Department of the Baths.
Please note, that as you take photos of others, they may also take photos of you. According to the general etiquette, it is not considered to be polite to take body pictures of half naked people without their expressed permission, but it is acceptable to take panoramic photos in the baths and pools. Please respect other people’s privacy and refrain from photography if they refused to be on your picture.
Also, please leave your brand new and high tech hand camera or video equipment at home, especially if you would just leave it by the pool while you are in the water and there is no one to take care of them, as your belongings are not insured via the spa entry ticket. Please bear in mind that there are no security cameras observing the pools either. It is you who are fully responsible for looking after both yourself and your valuables. Obviously, the lockers and cabins are for storage. Rarely though, some accidents have happened (e.g. some guests simply forgot to close their locker or cabin door), so please leave your precious items at home rather than taking unnecessary risks.
Can you inform me about the characteristics of the visitor’s ticket? Is it possible on Saturday morning? Can you book or buy online in advance?
Thanks a lot
Hello Maria,
guided tours in Gellert Spa are on every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 11am and 3pm. No advance booking is required.
Have a nice stay in Budapest!
Hello I am hoping to book a day at Gellert Spa next Monday 23rd July for 4 people. With your online system can I book entry online tickets for 2 of us and massages for the other 2? Also is it better to book the massage in advance or is Monday availability generally good? Thank you
Hello Joanna,
yes, it is possible in 2 separate transactions (2 tickets in the first booking and 2 massages with tickets in the 2nd booking).
We recommend booking the massages in advance, as massage hours are limited and are often booked up 1-2 days ahead.
I would like to take photos inside Gellert Baths. Can you please provide me permission?
Dear Ann,
we have contacted you via email.
Hope we can welcome you at Gellert Spa!
Hi there,
I’ll be travelling to Budapest in December and I’d like to take snapshots inside Gellert Baths. Can I please have photography permission?
Thanks,
Melissa.
Dear Melissa,
thank you, we will soon contact you via email.
I’m planing to visit your spas at the end of January 2019. I’m not there for work but purely for my own enjoyment. But, as i work in the field of content creation i would love to be able to take some pictures as references for a potential future story.
Hello,
we have contacted you via email.
Hello, I am planning on booking a massage and visit for the 9th of January (though still not available on the website). During the visit I would like to if possible take some photos to share with friends, family and on my instagram account, would this be acceptable?
Dear Sissel,
thank you for your email.
I am afraid, at the moment, booking is only possible until Sunday, as the 2019 rates are not confirmed yet.
We will open the bookings for after 6 January next week.
Please get back to us in due time.
