Check in at Gellert Spa

The QR code check-in point awaits guests who have pre-booked bath tickets: at the Online Check In Desk you will redeem your waterproof wrist band in exchange of the QR code tickets. It means a expedited entry service as the QR codes are instantly read and there is no need to join the queues at the Cashier, just head on to the Online Check In Reception Desk. In a similar vein, if you book your ticket or massage online, you don’t have to join the lines at the cashier, just approach the QR code / Fast Track Online Check In team with your digital or printed QR Code (it may help to bring along your confirmation email too to avoid any confusion if you are a first time visitor).

After check-in, your thermal bath e-ticket will be exchanged with a waterproof wristband, which will be your actual chip enabled key to your cabin as well (the wrist watch style silicon band includes a little chip).

All of the massage packages in Gellert Baths include the bath entry with fast track, skip the line access to all the pools, saunas, steam rooms, and of course your very own private area, the bath cabin used for storage and getting changed. – massages are currently not available on our website

How to find the check in point for expedited QR code entries and online reservations?

The check in point (green dot on the map) can be approached from the Main Entrance (shown with a red dot in the map). As Gellert Bath has its own entrance, independent from the entrance of Hotel Gellert, the best way to find us easily is to stand with your back to the river Danube, and enter the Gellert building on the right hand side, by the Gellert Hill.

Opening hours:

9 am – 7 pm every day.

Your ticket is valid from 9 am to 7 pm for the requested date (last entry 5.50pm)

  1. Dear Sir / Madam

I just want to know is there any mail adress for apply job position ?
    Thank You

  2. Hello, I would like to book a massage with a specific masseur on Friday morning. Can you provide an email or phone number for me to contact at your help desk to make the arrangements? Thank you.

    • Hello Janet, you can use any of the booking forms on the website to place a reservation for a massage treatment in Gellert Spa. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that a specific masseur you have in mind can be scheduled for a given day, as schedules keep changing all the time. If you know the name of the therapist, you can write us an email and we will try our best to make sure that you are booked in with that person, but there is no 100% guarantee for it. Thank you for your understanding.

    Dear Gellert Spa,

We are 3 people that would like to come to your spa on the 15th June, around 15.30 (or 16.00) in the afternoon. We have never been with you before and therefore we do not know exactly how things work. We will probably want some massages and 1 would also like to have a manicure.

Is it possible at that day and time? Shall I write to you what massages we would like to book?

I thank you very much in advance and look forward to hearing from you soon.

    • Dear Helle,

The Gellert Bath services and SPA treatments could be found on the following link:
      http://gellertspa.com/treatments-services-in-gellert-spa

I can confirm that there are massage appointments available on the day of your planned visit. Appointments are subject to availability. Once you make the payment, we will book you in for a treatment, which is the closest to your preferred hours.

To make a valid reservation please follow the link to our website:
      http://gellertspa.com/gellert-bath-massage

Apart from your massage hours, you can visit the bath before or after your massage treatment too (the tickets are for the whole day in fact, for the indoor and outdoor pools and facilities).

You can only book the manicure on the spot.

Hope you will enjoy your stay in Budapest and Gellert Spa.

  4. If I book the private bath, does that come with massages as well? We would like to have a massage during the 3 hour bath time…

    • Dear Kevin,

the package of the private bath gives access to the secluded area of the private bath only, meaning you can go to the private bath room, but not the big public area with a dozen pools, steam rooms and saunas. Massage treatment does not include in the Private Bath package, you need to book it separately.
If you wish only to use the private bath and to have a massage afterwards (without entering the big public bath area), then you don’t have to buy the bath tickets with cabins.
We have sent you the above information in e-mail as well.
Please, let us know if we can help with your booking.

    • Dear Kevin,

the package of the private bath gives access to the secluded area of the private bath only, meaning you can go to the private bath room, but not the big public area with a dozen pools, steam rooms and saunas. The rental fee includes the use of the Private Bath Hall and Tub (plus its facilities) for 3 hours, a fruit bowl and a bottle of champagne. Massage is not included, please book it separately.
If you wish only to use the private bath and to have a massage afterwards (without entering the big public bath area), then you don’t have to buy the bath tickets with cabins, only choose the “Private Bath for 2 Guests for 3 H (excl public bath)” option on the booking form:
      http://gellertspa.com/gellert-spa-private-bath

Please, let me know if I can be of any further help with your booking.

  5. hi, can we bring our 1 year old to he bath?

    • Dear Nico,

Unfortunately infants are not allowed to use the pools in Gellert Baths (this means they can come to the spa, but have to stay outside the pool area), even if they wear waterproof swimming nappies. This usually applies to children under 3 years of age. The thermal waters are only recommended for children aged 14+, as children’s cardiovascular system is less developed than adults’. Please note that, children who have not been potty trained yet, cannot be taken into the pool, not even in a swimming nappy, but they can stay in the spa area outside the water.

  6. Hi

Want to book for 70min massages for 3 people for this Sunday at 11am, is there availability?

    • Hello Penny, please check the booking page, and click on the calendar icon in the booking form to see the availabilities for a given day in Gellert Spa. If the day is booked up, the form will inform you. Have a nice spa holiday in Gellert Baths.
