Opening Hours
9 am – 7 pm every day of the week (except holidays)
Check in at Gellert Spa
The QR code check-in point awaits guests who have pre-booked bath tickets: at the Online Check In Desk you will redeem your waterproof wrist band in exchange of the QR code tickets. It means a expedited entry service as the QR codes are instantly read and there is no need to join the queues at the Cashier, just head on to the Online Check In Reception Desk. In a similar vein, if you book your ticket or massage online, you don’t have to join the lines at the cashier, just approach the QR code / Fast Track Online Check In team with your digital or printed QR Code (it may help to bring along your confirmation email too to avoid any confusion if you are a first time visitor).
After check-in, your thermal bath e-ticket will be exchanged with a waterproof wristband, which will be your actual chip enabled key to your cabin as well (the wrist watch style silicon band includes a little chip).
All of the massage packages in Gellert Baths include the bath entry with fast track, skip the line access to all the pools, saunas, steam rooms, and of course your very own private area, the bath cabin used for storage and getting changed. – massages are currently not available on our website

How to find the check in point for expedited QR code entries and online reservations?
The check in point (green dot on the map) can be approached from the Main Entrance (shown with a red dot in the map). As Gellert Bath has its own entrance, independent from the entrance of Hotel Gellert, the best way to find us easily is to stand with your back to the river Danube, and enter the Gellert building on the right hand side, by the Gellert Hill.
Opening hours:
9 am – 7 pm every day.
Your ticket is valid from 9 am to 7 pm for the requested date (last entry 5.50pm)

Hello,
I’ll be at the Gellert hotel from Nov 9th to 13rd. Would it be possible to book massages with the hotel’s reduction prices ? How can I manage this wth the online booking ? I’m interested in 1 Thai and 1 Harmony 60mns massages.
Many thanks,
Caroline
Hello Caroline,
if you have a valid hotel booking, the hotel staff will be happy to help you in booking a massage.
Have a great time in Gellert Spa Budapest.
Hello,
I have received my PayPal receipt via email, but not an email with the tickets? Can I just show my PayPal email?
Thanks,
Dear Talanya,
thank you for your comment. I have resent it you, please check your spam/junk folder too.
Enjoy your time in Budapest.
Hello,
We are looking at coming to the baths next week but have travel backpacks, are the lockers large enough to store large backpacks? Thanks 🙂
Dear Ashleigh,
thank you for your question. The door of the locker/cabin has a unique chip code lock, which opens and closes with a special waterproof bracelet: in fact, your digital ticket will be replaced with a waterproof wristband, which incorporates the chip for the locker/cabin.
The size of the Locker is 120x30x65 cm (1200 x 300 x 650 mm). If you choose a ticket with a locker, which is a more affordable version than a ticket with a cabin, you can get changed in the public changing rooms (separated for men and women). The lockers will need to be opened and closed by your wristband, so do make sure to close the locker before leaving for the pool areas.
I hope this helps. Have a nice day!
Good afternoon,
I am coming to your spa next Wednesday, the 14th. I am wondering if it’s allowed to leave the spa around midday for lunch and then come back afterwards, or if there are any eating facilities within the spa?
Many thanks!
Hello Ela,
I am afraid, it is not possible.
You cannot leave the spa and then re-enter. There is a small cafeteria in Gellert spa with sandwiches, soft drinks and basic hot food etc.
Have a great time in Gellert Spa Budapest.
Hi, I just made a booking and in error I made it for 3rd September at 10:00am. I meant to make it for 6th September at 10:00 am. Booking reference 13366 it is a gift for my niece Ellie for her 21st Birthday is it possible to change it to the 6th September please. Ellie and her partner do not arrive in Budapest until the evening of the 3rd – totally my fault, if you could move booking to 6th at a similar time I’d be so very grateful.
Hello Ian,
thank you for contacting us.
No problem, we can change the date of your booking.
I will soon send you an updated confirmation email.
Hi,
I’m interested in booking something between Aug 9-11th. I’m open to private options as well as a regular ticket. I’m not attending the music festival. Do you think I would be able to get a ticket if I arrive at 9am?
Thank you!
Hello Brittany,
while we normally would recommend online bookings to secure your appointments or entries, during the Sziget music festival week – even if you do not attend the festival just the baths – (Aug 7-13) the city attracts half a million extra tourists, so the decision was taken that fast track tickets and fast track treatments will not be bookable during this period, with the exception of Saturday night party tickets, which will be bookable for Aug 10 as usual in Szechenyi Baths.
Guests of day time visit will be checked in on a first come first served basis. Unfortunately, we expect long queues due to the increased demand, even long lines in the sun. Please find more details, advice and other thermal bath alternatives on the following link: BathsBudapest.com/Aug
Arriving before 8 am (between 6 am and 8 am) would be very advisable if you do not mind getting up earlier to secure a better chance of getting in the baths with shorter queues.
Enjoy your August trip in Budapest!
