I would like to inform you about an incident that occurred at Gellert Baths last Sunday 26th October at about 5pm.
When I was leaving I decided to buy a cup of coffee from Café Gellert, and ordered from a blonde woman who was on duty at the time. I paid 450 HUF and when my coffee arrived I asked if I could have hot milk instead of cold. She immediately threw away my coffee and began complaining that if I wanted hot milk, then that was a latte, and that would be 650 HUF. I gave her a 500 HUF note and she asked for a further 150 HUF.
I tried to explain that I had already paid for one coffee (which she had thrown away) and I was expecting change of 300 HUF. She refused to give me any change, and did not actually put the money in the till – instead she put my 500 HUF note in her pocket. She laughed in my face when I asked for my money back.
By this time she had stopped being able to speak English, and so I asked the girl on reception to help me, but the blonde woman just laughed at her too, and shrugged her shoulders.
I was very disappointed to be treated like this, and I am about to leave feedback for you. Before I do, I would be very pleased to hear what you think about this, so I look forward to hearing from you.
It is not actually losing the money that worried me – that someone would steal from a tourist in such a callous and obvious way meant that my whole day was completely ruined. To treat visitors to your Baths in such a way is a complete disgrace, I’m sure you will agree, and I would be pleased if you would e-mail me back,

the luxury massage treatments are in the VIP massage rooms, which are double rooms equipped with a screening wall for privacy if not used by couples. The best price for having 4 massages in Gellert Spa is to buy 2 couple massage packages. All massage prices shown in the online booking form already include the price of the bath ticket and the price of the private cabin. So the price of 2 couple’s luxury massage packages is 2x €128.56 (€257.12) currently, or in Hungarian Forint: 2x HUF 36,000 (HUF 72,000). You can check which currency is more advantageous for your currency / payment system.

We are going to Budapest next week, and we were planning on renting the private bath. I was just on the bookingsite and I was wondering about the price. It says ‘bath for 2’ for 25000, but when I put 2 under ‘how many’, the price goes up to 50000. What is the right price for two people in the private bath?

Hello Jonas, the price for 2 people is ‘bath for 2′ for 25000 HUF, so it is one package price including 2 people using the private bath. You need to buy 1 package, not 2 packages. Enjoy Gellert Spa Bath!
